Improve the acidic environment of your stomach by taking apple cider vinegar water to encourage a low pH while raising the alkalinity of your blood. The pH of our stomach should be 1-3 in order to be acid enough to breakdown proteins properly.

If proteins are not broken down then they can infiltrate the intestines and cause damage to our mucosa, causing gas, acne, bloating, ibs, food sensitivities and leaky gut syndrome. The HCL challenge involves taking from 1-6 Betain HCL (hydrochloric acid) capsules with your largest meal. Wait for a warming sensation. If none arises then take one more capsule with dinner the following day. Once a warming sensation does occur do not take any more capsules. If the pH of your stomach is normal then you will only need to take 1-2 capsules. If you need to take more than that then your pH is high, and you can work on it by taking the drink mentioned above. Other bitters may work as well.
