on monday, i start my fall detox regime. follow with me as I outline my daily diet plan…or lag behind a week to get organized and still enjoy canadian thanksgiving dinner. the purpose of a detox is to rid yourself of allergens, toxins, cumbersome foods and lifestyle patterns for a finite period of time… to give the body a chance to take a load “of toxins” off… heal and anti-age itself back to health. my detox plan this fall is a progression from the “modified brown rice diet” to a “vegetable mono diet” to a fruit “mono diet” to a three day “master cleanse” with “salt flush” and back again to round out 10 days. remember no sugar, no white starch/carbs, no additives, no booze. 1 black organic americano per day and green and herbal teas allowed.
to provide extra cleansing impact, this fall I’ll be adding milk thistle, dandelion and burdock tea for liver and skin cleansing in addition to 2 tablespoons of salba daily for an increase protein and fibre. cleanse away!
